Pacifico (220 College St), New York chef Rafael Palomino's most recent venture, offers food fans a fresh take on the fresh catch of the day. Located at the corner of College and Crown Streets, Pacifico offers a Nuevo Latino seafood menu similar to Chef Palomino's Port Chester, New York landmark restaurant of the same name. With a vibrant interior that features tiles in Caribbean hues of reds and blues, Pacifico is the perfect place to escape from the grey New England winter. The restaurant's open kitchen and floor-to-ceiling windows facing one of the city's busiest corners add energy and playful atmosphere to every meal. And we're pretty sure Pacifico's mojitos and Caipirinha- the national drink of Brazil- will soon have New Haveners buzzing about Downtown's newest hot spot.
For those of you who have a love affair with seafood, Pacifico is a huge catch- and you won't even have to board a ship to get there.
Lunch hours: Mon-Fri 11:30am-3pm
Dinner hours: 7 days 5p-10pm

FIRST COURSE (choose one):
- Tartare de Atun con Aguacate – sushi-grade yellow fin tuna layered with fresh avocado
- Quesadilla de Langosta y Aguacate – lobster and avocado quesadilla with chipotle-crème fraîche aioli
- Ensalada de Remolacha – arugula salad with golden beets, raisins, goat cheese and a lime-coconut vinaigrette
- Ceviche de Camaron Estilo Mexicano – mexican shrimp ceviche with roasted tomatillos, cilantro, red onions, garlic, poblano peppers, avocado and citrus juices
SECOND COURSE (choose one):
- Churrasco a la Parrilla – grilled skirt steak with a chino-latino stir-fried rice of sweet plantains and lobster with a saffron-mojito sauce
- Salmon Caramelizado – panela-caramelized salmon with a ginger-chardonnay sauce, wilted spinach and wild mushrooms
- Pechuga de Pollo a la Parrilla – grilled chino-latino, half chicken topped with a cilantro pesto and served with fingerling potatoes, chorizo, tomato and zucchini
- Camarones y Vieras con Raviolis de Seis Quesos – pan-seared sea scallops and shrimp with 6-cheese ravioli in a chipotle-honey-chardonnay sauce
DESSERT (choose one):
- Colombian Semi-Sweet Chocolate Cake | served warm with dulce de leche ice cream and caramel sauce
- Dulce de Leche Cheesecake | with sauces of vanilla and caramel, vanilla whipped cream and a graham cracker crust
