The Greater New Haven Jewish Federation strives to lead, build, strengthen, and renew a dynamic local Jewish community and to provide support and caring for Jewish people in our community, Israel, and worldwide. We are guided by the traditional Jewish values of Torah (tradition, learning, and deeds), Tikkun Olam (improving the condition of our world), Tzedakah (philanthropy and acts of loving kindness), and k'lal Yisrael (Jewish peoplehood).

Jewish Community Center of Greater New Haven provides a physical location for the vibrant spiritual life of the Greater New Haven Jewish community. Today’s JCC is not just for the rich or the poor, the young or the old; it’s for everybody! Preschoolers come to learn and play, and senior citizens come for warm companionship and the excitement of learning something new. Those in between come to strengthen their bodies and stretch their minds in a comfortable Jewish atmosphere where they feel at home.

Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life at Yale provides religious, social, and artistic avenues for members of the Yale community to make Judaism an important part of their lives. Kosher dining, regularly meeting minyans, the Friedman library, Yale Hillel, and art exhibits are just some of the resources the Slifka Center has to offer New Haven's Jewish community.
