Here's your chance to join in on the fun! There are plenty of spots on amateur and recreational teams in New Haven for all ages and abilities.

Rugby

New Haven Rugby
Scrum! The Old Black play a grueling and seriously competitive schedule of games each spring, summer, and fall. They could always use more bodies on the pitch so grab your boots and make a rugger out of yourself!

Basketball

Jewish Community Center of Greater New Haven offers basketball leagues to members and non-members.

Skateboarding

Edgewood Skate Park  provides an opportunity for skateboarders and inline skating enthusiasts to develop their skills and enjoy their sport in a safe and challenging environment.

Softball

The New Haven Parks Department hosts over 70 co-ed, men's, and women's team each year in their recreational softball leagues. Check the website for league information.

Jewish Community Center of Greater New Haven  offers summer softball leagues to members and non-members.

Tennis

The following parks in New Haven have public tennis courts:
East Rock Park, at Mitchell Dr

Edgewood Park, Edgewood Ave

Volleyball 

The New Haven Parks Department  has a fun, competitive beach volleyball league every summer.

The Connecticut Sports Center in Woodbridge also hosts adult and juniors leagues.

Outdoor Recreation

The City of New Haven's Outdoor Adventure Program offers activities such as canoeing, kayaking, full moon paddling, white water rafting, orienteering, hiking and nature interpretation, fishing, a portable climbing wall, rock climbing, mountain biking, snorkeling, an introduction to scuba diving, scuba diving P.A.D.I Certification, a ropes course, ice climbing excursions, and outdoor adventure cooperative games.
