NEW HAVEN RESTAURANT WEEK presented by Citizens Bank Returns Sunday, November 6 – Friday, November 11, featuring 36 Options For Delectable Dining! Participating restaurants will offer a three-course, prix fixe menu consisting of an appetizer, entrée and dessert. Prix fixe menus are priced at $16.38 for lunch (priced for the year New Haven was founded) and $29.00 for dinner. For complete details, please visit www.infonewhaven.com/restaurantweek. Here are a few tips to ensure you have the best possible experience during NEW HAVEN RESTAURANT WEEK:
1. Make a Difference in Your Community – For the first time, NEW HAVEN RESTAURANT WEEK will partner with Citizens Bank to raise money for the Connecticut Food Bank. At each participating restaurant, diners will have an opportunity to donate $1 to the Connecticut Food Bank. Just $1 feeds one person for an entire day. You’ll be making a difference in someone’s life, and what tastes better than that?
2. Early Bird Gets the Deal -- Make reservations for NEW HAVEN RESTAURANT WEEK as early as possible. Don’t wait another minute, as restaurants are sure to book fast.
3. Don’t Be a Table Hog -- If you need to cancel or change your reservation, please do so with as much notice as possible, so restaurants have the opportunity to rebook the table.
4. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights are the new Friday -- Try a new night. If you can’t secure a reservation on a popular night such as Thursday or Friday, dine out on a different night. Plus, it’s a nice way to break up the work week.
5. Don’t Forget About Lunch -- If you are set on dining for dinner at a particular restaurant but reservations are not available, don’t be discouraged. 29 of the 36 participating restaurants are also offering prix fixe lunch menus.
6. Be Adventurous -- If you are unable to secure a reservation at the restaurant of your choice, NEW HAVEN RESTAURANT WEEK is the perfect opportunity to try something new. With a record 36 restaurants participating this season, you have countless options to choose from.
7. Show Your Servers Some Love -- Tax and gratuity are not included in the prix fixe price. Please be sure to show your appreciation for good service by tipping generously. It’s good karma.
Happy culinary journeys!
