3 Festive New Haven Locales to Get into the Holiday Spirit

The holiday season is right around the corner, and New Haven has plenty of opportunities to get into the spirit. Sharing some of the city’s most festive locales below to kick off the merriest time of the year.

Head to Lighthouse Point Park for the Fantasy of Lights, (running through 12/31) a dazzling nighttime event supporting employment and educational, social, and recreational opportunities for people with disabilities.

Join Market New Haven, The Shops at Yale, and Soulful Threads on 11/30 in Sherman’s Ally (1022 Chapel St.) for the first-ever Small Business Saturday Holiday Market, complete with food trucks, tree farm, an ice carving demonstration, and plenty more holiday activities; this pop-up outdoor market is not to be missed.

Gather on the New Haven Green on 12/5 (5:30 pm- 7:00 pm) for the 112th annual New Haven Holiday Tree Lighting, Downtown’s official kick-off to the holiday season. This year’s event will feature entertainment, amusement rides, a petting zoo, food trucks, and special guests!
