Three Neighborhood Events to Check out in June (2024)

Across our city of neighborhoods, each cultured corner offers visitors and locals access to unique annual events and festivals. These time-honored traditions offer opportunities to come together to celebrate our city’s history, make a new friend or two, and eat some delicious food. The parties are planned and you’re invited.

Dixwell Neighborhood: Elm City Freddy Fixer Parade returns on June 2 as one of the longest-running historic Black parades in the country, running from Bassett Street to Lake Place. Plus, it’s entirely free.

Fair Haven Neighborhood: Quinnipiac Riverfest will take place on June 8, featuring family-friendly, educational activities for all ages, as well as a wide array of food vendors, small business pop-ups, and local talent.

Wooster Square Neighborhood: St. Andrew’s Society Italian Festa runs from June 21-23, complete with food, music, and all-things Italian culture.
