Gioa Adds Joy to Wooster Street

If you have a taste for Italian cuisine, then be sure to check out Gioia in January. This new Italian restaurant is serving some of the best dishes and drinks, all from the heart of the historic Wooster Square. The restaurant, which also serves up house-made gelato for diners with a sweet tooth,  features a market selling tons of Italian specialties from homemade pastries to the best-aged cheeses.

Tavern on State Honored by The New York Times

One of downtown’s most popular restaurants, Tavern on State, was featured in The New York Times, leading the “23 of the Best American Dishes of 2023.” Writer Julia Moskin specifically praised the tavern’s fried chicken, saying “I will always order the fried chicken at a promising new restaurant like this one.
