The Pizza Capital of the United States is the MOMENT

On Wednesday, May 22, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (and Wooster Street alum), entered into the Congressional Record that New Haven “is the best pizza in the country; it’s not even close” – read more about the day here.  Our city’s apizza culture has been covered widely across such publications as Cosmopolitan, Food&Wine, and The New Yorker. OpenTable and People Magazine Name New Haven’s Siena Ristorante Among America’s 50 Most Beautiful Restaurants

Nestled in the lobby of The Blake Hotel, Siena Ristorante serves up Italian cuisine, “the way nonna used to.” You love it, we love it, and apparently, the culinary enthusiasts at OpenTable and People Magazine love it. The teams collaborated to celebrate People’s 50th anniversary with a stunning list of the 50 most beautiful restaurants in the country, crowning one from each state. New Haven’s Audubon Street Arts Festival Spotlighted on TravelPulse

Downtown New Haven is gearing up to celebrate one of our most-loved annual events, the Audubon Street Arts Festival, which takes place in our city’s Arts District on May 18th. Tavern on State Honored by The New York Times

One of downtown’s most popular restaurants, Tavern on State, was featured in The New York Times, leading the “23 of the Best American Dishes of 2023.” Writer Julia Moskin specifically praised the tavern’s fried chicken, saying “I will always order the fried chicken at a promising new restaurant like this one. Its fried chicken thighs with green tomato relish and radish salad was the best of many dishes I loved this year in the growing “tavern” category — a much-needed bridge between pub grub and tweezer food.”

Gilmore Girls Inspired Getaway in New Haven

Fall is a time marked by crisp air, brewing holiday excitement, and endless Gilmore Girls rewatches. While the town of Stars Hollow does not exist, New Haven does.
