The Appetizer and Dessert Crawl, presented by The Shops at Yale, returns to Downtown New Haven on Saturday, April 18.
The first of four events this year, the food crawl takes place within the Shops at Yale footprint, highlighting the area’s notable restaurants, cafes, shops, and boutiques. Set against the backdrop of Downtown New Haven, the self-guided crawl showcases how easy it is to explore and navigate the city.
Attendees create their own route to visit fourteen participating restaurants, sampling a sweet or savory bite at each stop. April’s highlights include a cheeseburger egg roll (Nice Day Chinese), a mini shawarma wrap (Shah’s Halal Food), and a macaron (Union League Patisserie), plus other local favorites.
Along the route, attendees can shop, enjoy exclusive retailer discounts, and take in notable landmarks like the New Haven Green and the architecture of Yale University.
Tickets can be purchased for $25 per person (plus processing fees) and include a food sample at each participating restaurant, a complimentary tote bag, exclusive discounts at select retailers, and free parking at the York Street Garage.
The four-part series continues May 2 (sold out), June 13, and December 19. Proceeds benefit New Haven nonprofits CitySeed, The Robin I. Kroogman New Haven Animal Shelter, Arts Council of Greater New Haven, and United Way of Greater New Haven.
Check-in begins at 11:30 a.m. at the lower level of Barnes & Noble / The Yale Bookstore, 77 Broadway. Tickets are selling fast, purchase yours here.
