Three years ago, New Haven local Kimberly Poole celebrated the opening of her store, More Amour Boutique. Located in the well-loved neighborhood of Chapel West, More Amour is known around town for its retro-chic statement fashion and one-of-a-kind handbags. As we look ahead to a new year in style and trends, we sat down with Kimberly Poole to discuss all things fashion and business.

How’d you get your start? “I have an impressive background in retail, having worked several years as a consultant at Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. I love my job, and my boutique cultivates wisdom, power, royalty, ambition, creativity, and community.”

What are are you most looking forward to in 2023? “I am looking ahead to brand continuance, and building a stronger community in fashion, style, and art.”

What do you love about New Haven? “I love the culture, diversity, and community that exists in New Haven. I am planning to move downtown soon, the area has a vibe like a mini Soho.”
