For The New York Times, New Haven Is “A City of Creative Entrepreneurs”

The Elm City has once again been spotted on the refined radars of The New York Times’ readers, this time in a standalone feature story titled, “Beyond Pizza and Yale: What to See, Eat and Do in New Haven.” The story highlights the best of New Haven, from the history that graces the halls of our museums and galleries, to the creative force alive in the largely Black and brown Dixwell neighborhood, to the communities fostered in the mezzanine and orchestras of the Shubert and Long Wharf Theaters.

WIth dedicated sections on museums, culture, history, and cuisine, this story is a must-read, but you’re on the move, here’s the gist.

“Now, New Haven — which was among The Times’s 52 Places to Go in 2023 — is going through a chapter driven by creativity and ingenuity. Though Yale continues to imbue New Haven with a certain gravitas, the surrounding city is showing off its own cultural capital in the realms of art, food, music and more.”
