New Haven Night Market Returns on May 16

Mark your calendars—New Haven Night Market is back on Friday, May 16, and it’s set to light up Ninth Square with one of the city’s most anticipated evenings of the season. First launched in December 2018, the Night Market was inspired by the vibrant tradition of Chinese night markets. Since then, it’s evolved into a true celebration of New Haven’s creative spirit—bringing together food, music, art, small businesses, and community pride. Luck of the Irish St. Paddy’s Day [2025]

Each March for the past 183 years, Downtown transforms into a vibrant celebration of Irish pride for the Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Parade. As Connecticut’s largest single-day spectator event, this beloved tradition has been drawing crowds since 1842. On Sunday, March 16, the St. Paddy’s Day parade returns with marching bands, festive floats, and high-energy Irish step dancers to the streets of downtown —along with plenty of Guinness [inside the pubs]  to keep the celebrations going. Downtown captures the magic of the season straight out of a holiday movie. Immerse yourself in a lineup of festive events and experiences that bring the spirit of the holidays to life. Fall Annual Events: New Haven Night Market and New Haven Chalk Art Festival 2024

Now that you’ve been fed and entertained, it’s time to mix and mingle. On October 4th, we’ll see you at the New Haven Night Market, which runs from 5-10PM. And on October 12th, you’re cordially invited to gawk at the sidewalk during the New Haven Chalk Art Festival, a day of music, art, and family-friendly entertainment at the Shops at Yale. Across the Chapel and Broadway districts, our sidewalks will be adorned with elaborate chalk art designs by more than 60 talented artists.

Fall in Love with New Haven Restaurant Week October 6 – 11, 2024

We get it, you can’t eat apizza for a month straight – though we’ve certainly tried. Luckily, National Pizza Month is not the only foodie calendar event landing in Elm City this month. Back for its 16th year, New Haven’s longest-running foodie event, New Haven Restaurant Week, returns this month from October 6-11, 2024. We’ve got 24 participating restaurants bringing hungry foodies to our city from across the state of Connecticut. Participating restaurants will offer $25 lunch specials, with all participating locations offering pre-fixe dinner experiences for $45 or $55 per person. Learn more here.

2024 New Haven Cocktail Week

A month of cycling and apizza, are you thirsty yet? You’re in luck. This month also brings the return of New Haven Cocktail Week, running from September 15-21. Throughout this week, we will celebrate all things libations – shaken and stirred. From cocktail education and tastings to the Annual Spirits Ball at Gioia Cafe & Bar, this boozy week cannot be missed. 2024 New Haven Pride Fest

In the Elm City, we take our fun in doubles. Double scoops, double shots, and double Pride. Each September, New Haven celebrates its own dedicated Pride Month, with support from New Haven Pride Center. The annual Pride celebration will take place on September 7th from noon to 6 PM on Crown & Orange Street, complete with local vendors, live performances, and fun activities for the whole community.
